Reaching out for counseling takes courage.

I can support you as you go through life’s transitions and challenges.

I foster self compassion, self love through encouragement of  self care and highlighting your strengths.

I met my clients where they are and have a humanistic and intuitive and direct approach.

We all experience difficult times, but sometimes life's challenges become too overwhelming to get through them alone.

The silver lining is that change and challenges offer  the greatest potential for growth and change. There is hope.

Please feel free to call 831-215-3283 to inquire if we may be a good match for working together.

I have been a medical social worker for 30 years and a psychotherapist since 2000. I have a broad range of experience. I am still working for a large healthcare organization. Therefore, my practice is small.

My private practice population  is focused on the specialization of women, lesbian & LGBTQI+. I work with people who are going through all types of life transitions & life challenges.

The relationship(s) with a psychotherapist can be one of the most powerful and healing relationships of our lifetime.

I draw from a variety of modalities and experiences; humanistic:

Major humanistic modalities include

  • Person-centered therapy: Also known as Rogerian therapy, this approach emphasizes the client's self-worth and is built on a foundation of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and non-judgmental support from the therapist.

  • Gestalt therapy: This modality focuses on the "here and now," helping clients become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the present moment. Techniques like role-playing and the "empty chair" technique are used to explore unresolved conflicts.

  • Existential therapy: This approach helps individuals confront questions about meaning, purpose, freedom, and responsibility. It encourages clients to find their own values and create a meaningful life.

  • Narrative therapy: This modality helps clients separate themselves from their problems by reframing their life stories and focusing on their unique values, strengths, and skills.

  • Transpersonal therapy: This approach incorporates spiritual and transcendent experiences, exploring the connection to oneself, others, and a sense of a greater whole.

  • Transactional analysis: This helps clients become aware of how they think, feel, and behave to change how they relate to themselves and others
